Meet the Founder

The Free Collective is a proudly Queer Latina-led organization.

  • Co-founder of The Free Collective, a Denver-based organization dedicated to creating healing third spaces. With a background in business marketing, events, and mixology, Beccah brings her passion for socially conscious gathering and mutual aid to life through innovative pop-ups and workshops.

Her expertise in mixology allows her to craft unique, health-conscious beverages that enhance the intentional experiences The Free Collective creates. She is deeply committed to supporting causes that inspire meaningful change and believes in the power of joy as resistance. As a co-founder, Beccah focuses on building empowered teams and sustainable systems that align with The Free Collective's mission to connect and uplift the community.

Mission

Our mission is to revolutionize the art of gathering by creating healing third spaces that center Latinx, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities. We foster love, curiosity, and collective joy through culturally-rooted, inclusive experiences. Grounded in mutual aid and community care, we believe in the power of conscious gathering to inspire meaningful change and build a more sustainable, empowered, and connected world.

Vision

We envision a world where every gathering is a catalyst for healing, connection, and transformation. By creating inclusive, accessible spaces that nurture local food and beverage, healing music, and empowered community, we seek to inspire a global movement of conscious gatheringβ€”empowering individuals to build stronger, more resilient networks. Through mutual aid, dialogue, and joy as resistance, we aim to break down barriers and create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive through the art of gathering.

Our History

The Free Collective, LLC was established on July 7, 2024.

In the wake of a protest on June 26, 2024, The Free Collective was co-founded by Jeanette and Beccah, who envisioned a sanctuary where joy itself was an act of resistance. Together, they dreamed of a space pulsing with healing music, movement, and libationsβ€”a third space where creativity and community could thrive beyond the noise of the world. From that vision, The Free Collective was born, not just as a gathering place but as a force for mutual aid and cultural revolution. Jeanette, who co-founded The Free Collective, has since stepped away from the project but helped lay the roots and plant the seeds that continue to nourish its journey.

Key Milestones:

  • Community Engagement: The Free Collective has successfully organized pop-up fundraisers and events in the Denver area, focused on supporting mutual aid projects and creating healing third spaces for our communities.

  • Impact Statistics: In just a few short months, we raised over $3,000 for a family in Gaza. This early success highlights our commitment to growth and our mission of fostering connection and empowerment within our community.

As we move forward, we aim to expand our initiatives and projects to continue making a meaningful impact and achieve our overarching goals.
